Ladylucks Mobile Casino Review

Ladylucks Mobile Casino is a great example of why we felt the need to completely refresh some of the reviews offered here at MobileCasino.net, and a lot has changed since we last put this brand through its paces. Originally, the casino was owned and operated by Probability plc, which you may well remember as being a UK-based company that not only handled the casino experience itself, but also made all of the games. It made Ladylucks one of the smaller casinos in terms of the sheer number of games, but you could almost feel the passion of the designers coming at you through the screen. It was clearly doing something right, as Probability was purchased by none other than IGT, who also took on the mobile casino, with the biggest result for players being the addition of IGT mobile slots to the core selection. Now, it is all change again as the Ladylucks brand is now operated by Alea Gaming and there must have been quite the changeover, as anyone that was registered at the mobile casino when under Probability or IGT’s ownership now needs to create a brand-new account.

Lady Lucks mobile casinoIt all sounds a bit bizarre to be completely honest, but we cannot call the current version of Ladylucks’ licensing into question, as the casino is now exclusively regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. That sees the focus being placed firmly on UK players, and the full review below should give players all the insight they need into whether it is truly worth taking advantage of.

Games and Software

Based on our little history lesson above, we have gone from one of the smaller selections of mobile casino games on offer when Ladylucks launched in 2004, with all of the legwork being done by the brand that operates the casino, to one of the most impressive when IGT decided to get involved. Now that Alea is in charge, it feels like all change again, although if you have been enjoying the IGT mobile slots at Ladylucks then you will be pleased to know that they have been kept on, with everything from Siberian Storm to Apollo Rising continuing to be available on your mobile device of choice.

However, the game selection has simply got much, much bigger, and it is clear that Alea has its fair share of industry contacts! The IGT slots are no longer necessarily the centrepiece of the experience for players that have no interest in them – if such players exist – as they are now joined by games from NetEnt, NextGen, Microgaming and many more. It does make for the best-rounded game selection that we have ever seen at Ladylucks, and they are no slouches when it comes to the table games either. All of the big jackpot games have been thrown into the mix, including Mega Fortune and Mega Moolah, and the only real omission from what we would consider as being a truly fully-rounded mobile gaming experience is the lack of live dealer action.

Perks of Playing There

On the one hand, after a couple of ownership changes, Ladylucks is the best that it has ever been, at least in terms of the available games. However, when playing there for the purposes of this review, we couldn’t shake the impression that it remains a couple of steps behind the very best mobile casinos. We have to admit that even the enhanced game selection is smaller than what can be found at similar casinos, although the clear focus on the UK market might well stand out to many UK players. In getting rid of some of the character that made it special, such as the ability to deposit with your phone bill and the original Probability slots, a lot of the charm has gone and we would have to consider this one as being little more than a run of the mill mobile offering that doesn’t quite do everything as well as its more illustrious competitors.
