Greedy Goblins pits goblins against gnomes in an age-old battle that any fantasy fans will be familiar with – although we cannot help that the gnomes would have more of a chance at success if they were not all of the garden variety! The game looks every bit as good as players will now expect on the back of BetSoft’s dedicated 3D slots selection and the symbols all fit nicely into the theme. There are thirty opportunities to line them up on the board thanks to the win lines and while this is more than sufficient to keep the action coming nicely, it is within the bonus features that a real difference can be made. Fortunately, there are plenty of them and we will have all the details on what to expect from them in the full review below.
What to Expect
Thirty lines are something that BetSoft fans will be more than familiar with already, so we are going to cut to the chase and get straight to the bonus features, starting with the gold coins. When two or more of these symbols land on the screen at the same time, they will be ‘stolen’ and drop off the screen. This brings a small rolling reels type of feeling into the game, as the now missing coins will be replaced with more symbols that fall onto the board from above. In fairness, it rarely makes a massive difference, but it is always nice to get a second chance at completing wins.
Generally, of far more interest is the treehouse symbol, which is a wild card that can expand to cover the whole reel on reels two, three and four. As is often the case on games like this one, if it does expand and cover the reel, a respin will be awarded and these spins can continue if another wild stack lands on one of the available reels too. In terms of winning potential, this is probably the best feature on the game.
Land three or more Elfania symbols and free spins will be awarded. Three in view will award ten spins but it is possible to win up to 25 of them with five scatters in play, although that is relatively rare in our experience. Many of the standard symbols will have multipliers embossed on them as part of this round, and if you complete a combination with any of them, that multiplier will of course be applied as standard and this can lead to some rather tasty returns overall.
The Steal Bonus rounds off the bonus action along with the gamble round, and it is basically a pick a win bonus that becomes available when players land two of the secret book symbols on the board at the same time.
Greedy Goblins also packs in a progressive jackpot prize, which is networked with the other BetSoft jackpot wins and requires players to land five Elf symbols on a win line while playing for the maximum bet.
The MobileCasino.net Verdict
Greedy Goblins is another BetSoft mobile slot that has had some of the graphical wizardry stripped out in the mobile version and we never like to see that. It is still a good-looking game and the end result of any session will be the same as what players expect, and it is still plenty of fun. However, if you are looking for massive wins that could appear at any moment, you are basically completely reliant on the jackpot feature, as the rest of the game can at times make you feel like you are just going around in circles with no big peaks or troughs in your bankroll even after hours of play. The game is solid in every regard, but it would be a bit of a stretch to consider it as being one of the best BetSoft mobile slots out there right now.
