We have seen dragons on the reels on multiple occasions over the years, with the likes of Aristocrat being particularly partial to the mythical creatures. You do not encounter them all that often on Bally slots, presumably because you will not see a dragon roaming the streets of Las Vegas where most of their games are set, but when the opportunity arises, you can bet that we will be on hand to take a closer look. This is one of the freshest games in the mobile Bally slots range at the time of writing this review and we feel like we are in for big things here on this one.
What to Expect
The big things start pretty quickly as Bally has continued the trend of being above average on the win lines count, with thirty on offer here on Dragon Spin. The main board symbols all look very good, which is by no means a given on Bally slots, and the wild can help to bring them all together across the win lines by filling in for anything but the bonus icon.
That bonus icon is the green gem, and you will need to land one each in order to trigger the Dragon Spin bonus. The ‘spin’ part of the name comes from the fact that you will first encounter a wheel, and it will spin automatically to determine which of the three available features you will be playing through. With Raining Wilds, five free spins are awarded and between three and ten wilds will be added to the board on each of them. With Persisting Wilds, five free games will be awarded once more, and this time between one and seven wilds are added to the board, but these ones will remain in place for the rest of the round.
Finally, if the wheel lands on Reel Blast, five spins will again be the order of the day but this time you will be able to play over three sets of reels and a massive ninety win lines. The Reel Blast segment covers reels two, three and four and whichever symbols land in there on the first board will be replicated onto the other reel sets. It is a roundabout way of offering up big wins, but when that is what you are looking for you certainly cannot complain too much!
The MobileCasino.net Verdict
Dragon Spin is yet another solid offering from Bally and the only real criticism that we can have is that we became fonder of one bonus round – that being Persisting Wilds – than the other two and would have preferred the choice of bonuses rather than relying on the wheel. Then again, the name of the game would have made less sense that way so we suppose we can let it slide! Bally fans will love Dragon Spin and general players will find it pretty interesting too, ensuring that we can generally recommend checking this one out for yourself.
