There was something of a major shakeup at one of our favourite mobile developers this week as Probability’s Chief Operating Officer, Matthew Sunderland, stood down from the role that he took on in May this year. Sunderland cited the desire to seek new opportunities outside the UK, which up until this point has been Probability’s core market.
Probability launched in 2004 and Sunderland joined in 2009 in the capacity of managing director of consumer brands and has been tasked throughout his career with the company with overseeing Probability’s commercial strategy. This means that he has been a key factor in the recent successes of some of the better known Probability brands, particularly LadyLuck’s which ranks highly among our list of recommended mobile casinos.
Charles Cohen, Chief Executive Officer at Probability and no stranger to the news pages here at MobileCasino.net, commented: “We are grateful to Matt for his exceptional contribution to Probability over the past four years in making LadyLuck’s the number one mobile casino in the UK. We wish Matt luck with his new ventures overseas.”
Cohen said that Sunderland’s skills in the media aspect of the business were particularly crucial, allowing the company to launch their own television advertisements and expand their overall brand and appeal to players.
While Sunderland’s role at Probability was of course a crucial one, it is not expected to be filled by another individual candidate in the near future with responsibilities set to be shared between current executive staff at the company. One individual that will be taking on some of the load is Glenn Elliott who is now head of B2B for probability, having relocated to the UK after running Probability’s Gibraltar office. He will also be joined by Qurban Hussain, the group’s recently appointed Chief Financial Officer.
Cohen continued his comments, illustrating exactly why there is no rush to find a new Chief Operating Officer: “Matt’s role will not be immediately replaced. He built a strong and very capable team in the UK and Gibraltar who are committed and talented, with great experience in mobile and in e-gaming generally. I am looking forward to working more closely with them as we prepare and execute our strategies for delivering in this new, fiercely exciting mobile gaming mass market.”
Cohen is always thinking to the future and LadyLuck’s offers players an ever expanding, unique selection of mobile casino games that have served to make them an incredibly popular choice in the UK and beyond.
