Something of a boon for both US and UK based mobile casino players has come to pass in recent days as Probability, the UK developer behind the likes of LadyLucks and Moobile mobile casinos and Glu, a US company that is relatively new to the real money gaming sector, announced a partnership to give each increased access to their respective partner’s local markets.
Glu is primarily associated with free games and mobile apps, but that recently changed with the launch of the Samurai vs. Zombies slot game that capitalises on a couple of popular themes in order to bring players something of a unique gaming experience. Naturally, this is a perfect fit for a company like Probability, which has also made its name on the back of creating its own mobile games, not only for use at its own mobile casinos but also for third party providers to offer their players something unique. Probability’s experience in entering new markets, most notably Italy, also found favour with Glu’s senior management. Niccolo De Masi, Glu’s Chief Executive Officer, commented “Our relationship with Probability allows us to offer high-quality mobile casino products in the UK and we look forward to extending these offerings as additional markets adjust regulations. We were pleased with the initial player response to Samurai vs. Zombies and continue to see a significant long-term opportunity in the mobile real-money gambling market.”
One of the first projects to be undertaken as part of the partnership involves Glu’s Contract Killer franchise. Already an established range of free games, both companies are looking to explore the potential of a full mobile slots game and it is already available to Probability’s existing mobile casino partners in the UK. The free game was released on both iOS and Android platforms over two years ago and has seen more than forty million downloads in that time.
Charles Cohen, Probability’s CEO, stated “Our strategic relationship combines Glu’s popular social gaming IP with Probability’s innovative real money mobile games. We look forward to addressing the growing audience of players enjoying real money gaming on mobile devices.” A company statement also explored the partnership further by saying that the partnership will have an impact on “facilitating critical UK distribution for Glu and providing Probability with a leading US partner in anticipation of highly competitive US mobile gaming opportunities which, when available, will surely be worth millions.”
