While we were certainly not the first to coin the phrase “revolution” with regards to the mobile casino industry here at MobileCasino.net, we were also evidently not the last as the term played a key role in the speeches of many key industry personnel during the Mobile Gaming Conference at this week’s ICE event in London.
Indeed, one of the most interesting speakers on the day was George Zenzefilis, General Director at INTRALOT Interactive. For those unfamiliar with the company, they are one of many integrated gaming systems providers – think along the lines of Playtech – that provide software solutions to the gaming industry covering everything from casino gaming to sports betting and including transactions, players support and all manner of other services that make the lives of casino operators easier.
Zenzefilis stated that the gambling industry as a whole was currently experiencing a “revolution in gaming” now that many players were flocking to their mobile devices. Naturally, his role focuses on the back end of delivering solutions to such players and he went on to state that the key factor for such providers in the coming months and years was to “create a seamless gaming experience that integrates offline with online, mobile, tablets and TV.” Basically, online gamblers are now doing so on such a wide range of devices that games developers have to be aware of all of the possibilities and modify their games accordingly.
Aaron Ezra, Vice President of Mobile at the powerhouse Bally Technologies supported the sentiment, noting that mobiles are “the most crucial device the industry has for accelerating revenue and adding revenue streams.”
Of course, we are certainly not an industry champion here at MobileCasino.net and prefer to focus on the players than the companies. In effect, the statements from both speakers illustrate that companies big and small in the online gambling industry effectively have mobile casino gaming as priorities one, two and three and more resources than ever before are going towards bringing brand new experiences to players around the world. In practical terms, this means that players can expect a huge number of new releases over the coming months. Competition for the businesses involved in capturing the player base will drive innovation and the overall winners will be the players as they take advantage of everything that the industry has to offer.
