We predicted a number of weeks ago here on MobileCasino.net that Italy would spend a lot of time in the news in the early part of this year, as operators clamour to gain a foothold in the country’s gambling market following the government’s decision to allow outside operators into the country. The latest development in the field is the recently announced partnership between Playyoo, a subsidiary of Probability, and Lottomatica. The deal will see the company providing its mobile expertise and software platform for delivery under the latter company’s Vegas Club brand which already has significant market share in the country.
Probability had already made their intentions in Italy clear, becoming one of the first international software providers to tie up full licencing rights for Italian operations. Many see this partnership as the next step, as access to actual players in the market is next on a valuable strategic list for establishing significant revenues in the country.
As per the agreement, Playyoo will provide, host and maintain games for the Vegas Club brand for an initial two year period, and the fact that the company has its own Italian licence proved crucial to the success of the deal.
Regular readers of MobileCasino.net will know Probability as the company behind two of our recommended mobile casinos, Moobile Games and LadyLuck’s. While not the best know software provider, they are expanding rapidly based on the fact that they deal exclusively in the mobile industry, allowing them to build and then deliver their expertise to others under licencing deals such as this. As a relatively young company in the industry, fans of mobile casino games can expect much more from them in the coming year, including cutting edge mobile titles that have never been seen before and aggressive mobile expansion around the world.
